A Ruffling Situation

So this morning I finished an outfit but not for who you think. You see my ruffler (which pleats long lines of fabric) had broken in the middle of a project. It is possible to gather fabric by hand but I had close to 23 feet of fabric and there would be no way I would attempt it. So the twirl skirts had to be put on hold temporarily.
I did, however, have a pattern for making doll clothes that was included with my children's patterns. I had been telling my girls I would make their dolls matching outfits so I figured I would try it now. These would not require a ruffler to finish. It turned out to be fun and simple. So now their dollies will match them when I finish their outfits.
I have since bought a new and improved ruffler. They are the funniest looking contraptions but once you master the hang of it...they are invaluable!!!! I can now finish the twirl skirts!
So here is a mini photo session with my daughter's American Girl doll. By the way, I took the pictures in front of our house where the snowy pictures were taken 5 days earlier. If you are really observant, you will notice the daffodils in the background....Spring is on its way!!!!

A Snowy Weekend!

Can you believe the weather change in one week? March truly arrived as a "lion". Last weekend it was very cold and windy... in the teens. It ended with a pretty big snow storm...we had about 6 inches....that's a lot for us! Here we are building a snow man and making snow angels! Fun times!

A little Christmas in March!

Good Morning!!!

I was going through some recent pictures looking for something and I thought I would share some Christmas pictures with you! This will be like Christmas in March!

Can you guess that these pictures are from Breakfast with Santa?!

"God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son
so that whoever believes in Him may not be lost, but have eternal life."
John 3:16

Making and decorating Christmas trees with cones and lots of goodies!
They were sickeningly sweet!

And then everyone in front of the real tree!

Such nice memories! Well, later today I am going to fast forward to the present. Perhaps a few Disney pics from a recent girls weekend away???? Perhaps a peak into my sewing room to see what's going on???
Enjoy your Saturday everyone! Its looking to be a gorgeous day here! Yaaaaa!!!!

Welcome!

Hmmm, where to start? This is a bit intimidating starting a blog on an essentially blank dark page. So I thought I would share the things I love with you. The posts may be quite varied, ranging from faith and promises of God to pictures of my family and posts about an upcoming Disney Family Reunion Vacation. I love to sew so there will be plenty of pics and maybe a tutorial or two about that. So after much thought and mulling over about starting a blog, here I am finally doing it! Please check back often, especially on weekends when I will hopefully have more time to update!
So to begin here is a picture of my three girls in their Thanksgiving outfits I made for them. I praise God everyday for them. I know its not technically Thanksgiving today but really, it is...Children are a gift from the LORD; babies are a reward. Psalm 127:3
If only you knew how true that is or do you?
